This is Jackson’s Christmas picture to Jason. He drew a gingerbread man, a snowman, and a Christmas tree. In the middle of his tree, he drew the Christmas nail that we always hang first on our tree. The nail represents “the reason for the Season”, the incarnation of Jesus.
I love this drawing that Jackson did for Jason. He wrote his name at the top in a green and red pattern – he calls it the “Christmas pattern”. And, I love to see that our tradition of the Christmas nail is important to the kids. We received the Christmas nail as a gift about 10 or 11 years ago from a dear friend. So thankful that our intentional efforts are connecting at some level and creating some memories for our children.
