Tonight we were able to host the 5th grade Huddles (small group) at our house. The twins requested their favorite finger foods/football snacks. I had fun making all of their requests. Jackson had his own request – Firecrackers!
I found a recipe for firecrackers on Pinterest awhile back. Like all of my pins, I hardly ever try one. I’ve been trying more and this one has become a favorite for our family. I’ve spent the past several months perfecting my take on these hot crackers. I think I finally tweaked it to my tasting. So in honor of Super Bowl 50, I’m happy to share my take on these yummy crackers.
- 1/2 cup canola oil
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
- 1 package dry ranch dip mix
- 1 box of mini premium crackers
Mix together the oil, powder, red flakes, and ranch mix.
Put the mini crackers in a bowl and pour the mixture above over the crackers.
Cover the bowl with a lid and gently toss/flip until the crackers are well coated.
Bake the crackers on a baking sheet in an oven set at 250 degrees for about 15 minutes.
Enjoy, but be careful they are a bit hot.
