Through the years, I thought that waking up would get easier with each passing year. Unfortunately, I still struggle with getting out of bed in the mornings. I know! Right? I love the snooze button!! I won’t tell how many alarms I have to set each day.
This morning, I woke up earlier than usual. Joshua and Abby Kate were leaving school early for a field trip to American Village at Montevallo. I was worried that might oversleep (how embarrassing would that be), so I woke up right on time with my first alarm. We made it to school with plenty of time to spare.
While we were waiting to load the van, I was treated to a beautiful view. I wish that my picture could have captured the absolute beauty that we saw as the sun peeked through the rain clouds from last night. It was beautiful and a reminder to me that “Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning.” Lamentations 3:22-23
Even though I woke a little earlier than usual, I am thankful that I was blessed by this beautiful sky and reminder this morning.
